Tóm tắt: Nghiên cứu mô tả cắt ngang trên 418 sinh viên Trường Đại học Đại Nam được thực hiện năm 2023 với mục tiêu mô tả hình ảnh cơ thể tự nhận thức của sinh viên trường Đại học Đại Nam và một số yếu tố liên quan. Kết quả cho thấy, 37,8% số sinh viên cảm thấy mình béo và 29,4% tự đánh giá bản thân gầy. Cân nặng và BMI trung bình cao hơn ở những sinh viên nhận thức bản thân béo (p<0,05). Tỉ lệ nhận thức đúng về thể trạng bản thân so với phân loại BMI là 59,3%. Tỉ lệ nhận thức sai về hình thể cao nhất ở nhóm có thể trạng trung bình (p<0,05). Có sự khác biệt có ý nghĩa thống kê về thể trạng thực tế so với thể trạng tự đánh giá, đa số sinh viên có thể trạng trung bình nhận thấy mình béo (44,7%). Tỉ lệ sinh viên ăn kiêng cao nhất trong nhóm tự đánh giá bản thân béo (p<0,05). Hình thể cơ thể tự nhận thức của nhiều sinh viên không tương đồng với phân loại thể trạng thực tế theo BMI, nhưng có liên quan tới thực hiện các hành vi sức khỏe của sinh viên. Do đó cần có các giải pháp can thiệp để sinh viên nhận thức đúng về thể trạng và có hành vi sức khỏe lành mạnh phù hợp.
