Abstract: This paper presents the design and experimental evaluation of a small-current measurement circuit for a portable electrochemical device with integrated Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) wireless communication and SD card data storage. The device can measure electric currents over a wide range from a few tens of nanoamperes (nA) up to around 1 milliampere (mA), enabling its use in various electrochemical analyses. Experimental results demonstrate stable operation with low noise and a current resolution of about 100 nA. The measurement accuracy is high, with errors under 2% compared to a commercial potentiostat. The device operates standalone on battery power, transmits data wirelessly via BLE, and logs data to an onboard SD card. The paper covers the hardware architecture and key functional blocks (transimpedance amplifier TIA, DAC/ADC converters, BLE module, SD storage), the software algorithm and flowchart, experimental methods and results (using a dummy cell, standard K₃Fe(CN)₆ solution, and Hg²⁺ ion detection), comparison with similar devices, and a discussion on the application potential of the system.
